Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Edmonton, Alberta. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 4,000-unit multi-residential development.
Environmentally friendly; green building; multi-staged construction of a residential development utilizing a District Energy Sharing System (DESS). Stage 1 of the development will include 250 units in townhomes, mid-rise condos and apartments in Blatchford West. Blatchford East will see construction of 4,000 townhomes and apartments in total. TIMELINE: Construction of the majority of the first stage of development (Blatchford West) commenced in late 2019 and is ongoing (individual development projects are followed under separate reports). Site preparation work is underway for the next stage of land for homebuilders to build approx. 195 fee-simple townhomes. Construction of a mid-rise apartment building at 6632 Alpha Blvd has started (project is being followed separately). Crimson Cove Homes are seeking development permits for new apartment buildings at 6655 Alpha Blvd. The City is in the process of selling a site to MCHC at a below market value sale price for an affordable housing development. Further update in 2026.
