Renovation of a municipal facility in Toronto, Ontario. Design plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Reconfiguration and interior restoration of Old City Hall. Old City Hall covers approx. 406,000 sq ft of space. Nearly half of that is expected to be rentable space in the future. Scope would include construction of a museum Museum of Toronto to showcase some 150,000 historical pieces the city has in its collection in the site of the existing bail court. Also proposed is a wedding chamber on the second floor + space for the Toronto Public Library on the first floor as well as a mix of complementary commercial and institutional uses throughout the rest of Old City Hall. TIMELINE: Designs are ongoing and will proceed throughout 2025. Scope of work is subject to change pending council approval. Construction funding is currently allocated in 2028/2029 in the proposed 10-year Capital Plan. Further update early spring 2026.
