Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Montreal, Quebec. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and transportation facility.

Construction works for extension of subway line two ("orange") in Laval and Montreal. The scope of the project includes construction of an approximately 10.1 km tunnel with five stations on the territory of Saint-Laurent. The stations will be located at the Technoparc, near the A-40, as well as at the Bois-Franc, Le Ruisseau and Montpellier stations of the future Metropolitan Express Network (REM). In the future the line may be extended to Pierre-Elliott-Trudeau international airport. Note. The city of Laval anticipates the construction of approximately 50,000 housing units around the future extension of the orange line, of which 16,000 are already in planning. TIMELINE: Project is very preliminary and is in a conceptual development phase. The project office has been launched, but the route studies are presently on hold. The city of Laval has obtained support of six Laval largest landowners, namely Cadillac Fairview, Cominar, SmartCentres, Jadco, Choice Properties and Harden that will allow to optimize project and reduce construction costs. The landowners are thus expressing their openness to integrating a subway entrances on their property, without acquisition or expropriation costs. Scope of work, timelines of the project development and its budget are being finalized. Note. In Laval, 42,000 units are in preparation, half of which are near the future stations. The subway construction would encourage construction start.
