Upgrade to Kealakehe Wastewater Treatment Plant to producing and distributing effluent reuse for the island. Project is intended to further treat the effluent to R-1 quality and make it available for irrigation to users at nearby areas areas including the perimeter of the wastewater treatment plant, old kailua Airport (Kailua park) and areas along the way to the park. Project included R- 1 treatment and distribution, and a subsurface flow wetland and soil aquifer treatment system for the purposes of a polishing step and for nutrient removal This project is included in the county's FY 2022-2023 Capital Improvement Program.
