Seminole County Board of County Commissioners is issuing this request for Design/Build Proposals to Design/Builder Teams to furnish all necessary materials, equipment, machinery, tools, apparatus, and all labor necessary for the design and construction of building addition to the Juvenile Detention Center in Sanford, FL. Seminole County has obtained a State of Florida Grant Agreement for this project. The grant will be managed by the County. A grant requirement is that $1M must be encumbered no later than June 25, 2018 and the majority of the construction must be completed in early 2019. The maximum dollar amount of this project is $3,600,000.00, and the maximum period to be considered for substantial completion of this project is two hundred seventy (270) days from the Notice To Proceed. This is a Qualification and "Best-Value" Based Selection Process consisting of two (2) stages. Firms must be properly registered to practice their profession in the State of Florida at the time of initial application. All information received will become the property of Seminole County. It will be maintained with the project file and will not be returned. STAGE 1 - The Request for Qualifications from the Design/Build Teams is intended to provide information regarding the qualifications and financial information of interested teams to perform Design/Build services. The Evaluation Committee will evaluate the firms and will short-list the top three (3) teams based on the Evaluation Criteria indicated in this Package. STAGE 2 - The Request for Technical and Price Proposals from the three (3) short-listed Design/Build Teams are intended to provide technical and design information to perform Design/Build services. The Evaluation Committee will evaluate the submittals and select one (1) Design/Builder to recommend for award and present their evaluations to the Board of County Commissioners. The final decision to award a contract will be made by the Seminole County Board of County Commissioners. The Request for Technical and Price Proposals (STAGE 2) will include the Design Criteria Package, site information, and specific requirements of the project.
