The Project replaces 8" C.I. Water Main (WM) which is located in the SR 46 travel lane with new 12" WM constructed outside of SR 46. The new 12" WM starts at 24th Pl./ US 17-92, extending east and south along 24th Pl., Oak Ave., 25th Pl. / Palm Dr., and Mellonville Ave., ending at the SR 46 / Mellonville Ave. intersection. The side street WM construction includes new 8" WM along Magnolia Ave., Palmetto Ave., Poinsetta Ave., Princeton Ave., Yale Ave., Orange Ave., Willow Ave., and Bay Ave. New 1"-2" PE WM is to be located along SR 46 under the sidewalk, reconnecting to water meters. Existing WM in SR 46 is to be taken out of service and grouted between Oak Ave. and Mellonville Ave. New WM construction includes open cutting approx. 5,320-ft of 12" PVC WM, 4,100-ft of 8" PVC WM, 315-ft of 6" PVC WM, and 3,300-ft of 1"-2" PE WM. Directional drilling includes approx. 2,680-ft of 12" PE WM, 3,370-ft of 8" PE WM and 800-ft of 2" PE WM. Jack and bore construction (186' of 20"-24" steel casing) is also included.
