Site work and outdoor lighting for a civil project in El Paso, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for outdoor lighting for a road / highway.
The project will consist of the construction of roadway illumination utilizing full cutoff light fixtures on Rich Beem Blvd from Montana to Montwood. Illumination shall bedark-sky compliant utilizing LED based on photometric study, which provides full roadway illumination consistent with requirements of El Paso City Code. The scope of work will include but not limited to: Furnish and install roadway illumination via boring method.Illumination poles shall not interfere with existing vegetation, which has not been identified as dangerous or failing by the City Arborist. Utilities serving illumination poles shall be located underground.Contractor shall minimally disturbexisting median landscaping during construction.Landscaping to be disturbed during construction shall be reviewed and approved by the Capital Improvement Department prior to construction.Disturbed landscaping shall be restored to its original state or enhanced as approved by the Capital Improvement Department.The Phases shown in the plans are for the coordination with Street and Maintenance Department regarding the landscape. Prior to commencement of any work, the Contractor shall submit and obtain approval from City of El Paso, Capital Improvement Program Department, for the Sequence of Construction, Schedule of Work, and Haul/Waste Route to an approved disposal site. Traffic Control Plan must be submitted and approved, if applicable.Contractor shall provide written approved documentation from the owner or operator of the waste site. The description of this scope of work as shown above is only a general overview of this project. Wage Rates:Where there are similar wage rate classifications in wage determinations, the higher wage shall be paid. The contractor shall pay not less than the wage rate as determined by the Department of Labor, Wage and Hour Division and the City of El Paso.The bidder awarded the contract for this projectwill be required to enter payrolls electronically using the LCP Trackerpayroll software that the City uses to certify payrolls and generate payroll reports.The City will provide Contractor with the software All forms in Volume I must be printed, completed and submitted in a sealed envelope. It is the responsibility of the bidder to submit any forms that may have been issued by amendment. Any changes in due date or material changes for any solicitations will be posted on the solicitations page of the City of El Paso Purchasing and Strategic Sourcing Departments website. It is the bidders responsibility to ensure that they have all pertinent information regarding solicitations, including all amendments prior to submitting their bid. Please check the website, even after submitting a bid, to ensure that you have all amendments as they may be posted at any time, up to and including the day of bid opening.The City of El Paso does not provide any documents (i.e. solicitation documents, plans, specs, etc.) in paper form (hard copy). The estimated project budget is in the range of 850,000.00 - 1,100,000.00. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond naming the City of El Paso as obligee and duly executed by the Bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company approved by the Owner, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price (including base bid(s), option(s) and alternate(s).
