Saukie Golf Course is a municipal golf course operated by the Rock Island Parks and Recreation Department. The golf course and the current clubhouse facility opened in 1928. The current clubhouse is original to the course and has outlived its useful life. A new clubhouse will be constructed to replace the existing one. A new clubhouse is needed to create a welcoming point to the golf course that matches the high-quality playing conditions that golfers have come to expect of Saukie Golf Course. Additionally, a new clubhouse would increase the programming capacity through year-round use, accommodate larger fundraising outings, and provide a more accessible facility for all patrons. The Rock Island Park and Recreation Department is seeking proposals from qualified firms to demolish the existing clubhouse in preparation for construction of a new clubhouse. The scope of services will include: 1) Construction cost projection of an approximately 2500 square foot clubhouse facility The scope of services will include: 1) Complete demolition of the existing clubhouse located at 3101 38th St. Rock Island, IL 61201. 2) All utilities located and appropriately marked. 3) All codes and regulations met. 4) All lead services will be removed. 5) Sewer disconnected at the main. 6) Complete cleanup and removal of debris. 7) Complete Asbestos Inspection Report is included with this RFP. 8) Perimeter security fencing will be provided and installed by the City of Rock Island. 9) City of Rock Island will be responsible for gas and water disconnect. 10) All work will be completed within 30 days once an agreed upon date is decided with a daily charged fee for going over 30 days.
