Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a civil project in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; road / highway; and water / sewer project.

For the Improvement of Certain Section of Highways and Bridges in Lackawanna County, Roaring Brook and Spring Brook Townships, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, State Route 0307, Section D54. This Project Involves the Full Replacement of a Culvert That Crosses Under a Four Lane Road, State Route 307 (Scranton Pocono Highway) Over Green Run in Roaring Brook Township, Lackawanna County. When the Roadway Was Originally 2 Lanes Wide, a Concrete Culvert Was Installed About 60 Feet Long. When the Road Was Widened to 4 Lanes, the Culvert Was Extended Approximately 15 Feet on Each End With Stone Arch Culverts. The Entire Culvert and Headwalls Have Deteriorated to Poor Condition and Will Be Replaced. The Shoulders and Roadway Embankment That Has Eroded Will Be Restored and Stabilized. The Replacement Culvert Will Be a New Culvert Located Approximately 25-feet South of the Existing Culvert, on the Same Skew as the Existing Structure. The New Culvert Will Be a 10- Foot by 7-foot (Span by Rise) Box Culvert With an Effective Rise of 5.5', Which Includes the Incorporation of 18-inch-high Fish Baffles Ultimately Embedded With Natural Streambed Material. The Existing Stream Will Be Shortened in the Upstream Reach to Tie Into the New Culvert Location. A New Stream Channel Will Be Constructed From the New Culvert Outlet to the Existing Channel. The Project Will Involve Realigning Sr 2019 Where It Intersects Sr 307 to Accommodate Large Vehicle Turning Movements. The Shoulders on Sr 307 Will Be Widened to Meet Current Standards. New Drainage Structures Will Be Constructed to Maintain Stormwater Flows at the Site. Traffic Will Be Maintained During Construction on Sr 307. A Single Lane in Each Direction on Sr 307 Will Be Maintained During Half Width Construction. Other Work Includes Guiderail, Pavement, Pavement Markings, and Landscaping. All Work Contained Within an Overall Length of 2701 Linear Feet (0.512 Miles) as Indicated on the Approved Drawings Included in the Bid Package.
