Paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Mentmore, New Mexico. Conceptual plans call for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for the renovation of a municipal facility.

To plan, design, and renovate the existing slab building including: asbestos abatement; roof replacement; upgrade exterior walls, windows & exterior doors; HVAC, upgrade plumbing; remodel walls, ceiling & floors of interior; bathrooms/kitchen & repaving the parking lot (10,000 SQ F). The building is located within the chapter tract and the chapter owns the land, has easements/rows, has completed the archaeological and environmental studies for the chapter tract. Stake holders; Chapter Officials, Chapter Coordinator, Contractor, funding source, Design & Engineering Services. Phase I will consist of the planning, design, the construction (24 mos). Phase II will consist of the Parking lot (12 mos). Phase III will consist of the purchase of equipment/furnishings (3 mos). Equipment/furnishing will include storage lockers, office desks/chairs, & furniture for computer/conference rooms. Tsayatoh Chapter will own, operate and maintain the building. The Navajo Nation owns the land and will be the fiscal agent. As of January 27, 2022, this project is currently in the New Mexico Infrastructure FY 2023-2027 CIP. Information regarding a design firm and the general contractor selection timeline has not been disclosed. Although a firm timeline for construction has not been determined, construction is not expected to start prior to fiscal year 2023. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
