Site work and paving for a road / highway in Mentmore, New Mexico. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Proposals and sealed bids are requested for the N8030 Pinon Chapter, Road Maintenance Project. The proposal and bid form must be sent in a sealed envelope, with the bid form individually sealed. Submit one original and three copies of the proposal. Proposals can be submitted either by mail to the Navajo Division of Transportation, Department of Roads, or by hand delivery to the Navajo DOT Complex building in Tse Bonito, NM. All proposals should follow the instructions provided, include all required documents, and meet the eligibility and evaluation criteria outlined. The review panel will select the respondent most responsive to the needs outlined, and may request clarification meetings or additional information as necessary. Failure to provide the required information may result in disqualification. SCOPE OF WORK 3.1 General Project Description, FP-14 N8030- Pinon Chapter, AZ. This work consists of Mobilization. This work consists of moving personnel, equipment, material, and incidentals to the project site. Construction Surveying. Establish centerline, and other points to establish proposed road profile as shown on Typical Sections. Contract Quality Control. This work consists of planning and implementing a construction quality process to ensure work conforms to the contract. Schedule For Construction Contracts. This work consists of scheduling and monitoring the progress of construction activities. Temporary Traffic Control. This work consists of furnishing, installing, maintaining, relocating, and removing temporary traffic control devices. Contractor Sampling and testing. This work consists of obtaining samples for material testing. Subgrade Preparation, the top 6 inches shall be compacted to 95% of the maximum density. Removal of Structural and Obstructions. This work consists of salvaging, removing, and disposing of culverts, and other obstructions. Evacuation and Embankment. This work consists of excavating material and constructing embankments. The Approach and Departure over CMPs is 20:1 (5%) or flatter. Metal Pipe. Furnish pipe, special sections (such as elbows, branch connections, and prefabricated flared end sections) and coupling bands. Drainage crossing 1,3,4,5, and 7 have parts available at the Navajo DOT, Pinon Yard. Drainage Crossing #8 requires all parts to be furnished for installation. Reinforcing Steel. This work consists of furnishing and placing reinforcing steel. For Drainage Crossing #5 and #8, they require Concrete Collars for elbow joints, crossing #8 has an Outlet Headwall. See ADOT design standards. Structural Concrete. This work consists of furnishing, placing, finishing, and curing concrete in culverts. For Drainage Crossing #5 and #8, they require Concrete Collars for elbow joints, crossing #8 has an Outlet Headwall. See ADOT design standards. Minor Concrete Pavement. This work consists of constructing minor concretepavements on a prepared surface. For Drainage Crossing #5 and #8, they require Concrete Collars for elbow joints, crossing #8 has an Outlet Headwall. See ADOT design standards. Earthwork Geosynthetics. This work consists of furnishing and installing geotextile in separation applications. The Drainage Crossings shall have Riprap and Geotextile Fabric at the inlet and outlets of the drainage crossings. Riprap. This work consists of furnishing and placing Riprap for drainage structures, and erosion control. The Drainage Crossings shall have Riprap and Geotextile Fabric at the inlet and outlets of the drainage crossings. Structure Excavation and Backfill. This work consists of excavating material for the construction of structures. This work also includes preserving channels, shoring and bracing, and backfilling.
