The intent of this Request for Qualification (RFQ) is to seek statements of qualifications (Responses) from parties (the Respondents) interested in temtemixten / Belcarra Regional Park South Picnic Area Development. More specifically, the intent of this RFQ is to short-list up to three (3) Respondents to participate in a Tender; however, the Corporation reserves the right to short-list a greater number of Respondents. The architectural scope of this project is renovation of an existing heritage building for public use (multi-purpose spaces). This includes removal of non-heritage additions, modification of the existing roof structure and profile, installing new metal roof, demolition of interior elements including existing stair and washroom, construction of new stair, kitchen, and washrooms, electrical and mechanical systems, and structural upgrades. Servicing requirements are installing a new water connection, burying an existing power line, and installing a new septic field. Landscape scope highlights include invasive plant removal and habitat restoration, installing gravel trails, installing landscape furnishings, installing stone amphitheatre seating, construction of large stone steps on steep bank for improved access to beach, road widening and asphalt surfacing, and installation of pocket parking.
