As of May 20, 2019, a general contractor has been awarded. Construction is anticipated to begin in April 2019. Closed solicitation has been included below for reference. ........... The City of Scottsdale and the San Francisco Giants are accepting Statements of Qualifications from qualified Design-Build Managers to provide design phase and complete construction services for the Scottsdale Stadium Multi-Use Event Center Improvements. Theexisting SSMEC is located on the northeast corner of Osborn Road and Drinkwater Boulevard, Scottsdale, Arizona. The City is seeking licensed contractors and registered design professional teams with background developing, designing and constructing successful public facility renovations, particularly sports facilities. The DBM shall have an understanding of player development and clubhouse facilities for Major League baseball and professional sports, programming of space needs; stadium design with attention to multi-use event capabilities; multi-media expertise; banquet, ballroom and event experience; and local production capabilities. The total Project budget is approximately $60 million. The construction budget is approximately $40 million (see Exhibit "A"). The city of Scottsdale reserves the right to reject any or all Statements of Qualifications, to waive any informality or irregularity in any Statement of Qualifications received, and to be the sole judge of the merits of the respective Statements of Qualifications received. Questions pertaining to the consultant selection process or contract issues should be directed to Anna Leyva, Senior Project Manager, of the Capital Project Management Office, ALeyva@ScottsdaleAZ.gov. Questions must be submitted in writing by 10:00 a.m., April 13, 2018. Responses to questions will be posted to the City by 4:00 p.m., April 17, 2018. Non-Collusion Affidavit: All teams submitting proposals must submit a noncollusion affidavit in a form as set forth in Exhibit "D". Failure of any team to provide the non-collusion affidavit as a part of this sealed proposal is grounds for disqualification of the proposal. The City reserves the right to cancel or modify this Request for Statements of Qualifications at any time. Scottsdale hopes to pick a design/build team in July and if approved construction on the renovations could start in 2019 after spring training.
