The project includes, but is not limited to, the renovation of Crosshaven Drive, including curb & gutter, drainage improvements, widening, additional lanes, and utility connections, erosion and sediment control, miscellaneous sitework, supervision of the Work of the project, and all related work, as indicated on the Bid and Construction Documents. A cashier's check or bid bond payable to the City of Vestavia Hills, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidder's proposal. The improved roadway will include curb and gutter and a sidewalk on the right side of the roadway running along the length of the project. The Project also includes the replacement of the existing waterline along the length of the project, and Sanitary Sewer relocation along Crosshaven Drive from Green Valley Rd to just past Bearden Ct and along Green Valley Rd from Wall St to Crosshaven Dr. In order to pre-qualify the bidders, work experience must be primarily General Contracting. Specialty contractors will not be allowed to bid as a General Contractor. The General Contractor will provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, insurance and sub-contractor services for construction of a complete facility. The total estimated construction cost is $2,750,000 to $2,850,000 with a construction period of 12 months after the official Notice to Proceed.
