Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Reno, Nevada. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility; and for the addition of a transportation facility.
Plans call to expand the airport in multiple phases over several years with two new concourses, a new four-story parking garage, ticketing hall and area for pick-up and drop-off. The new concourses will also increase the number of gates, restaurants and retail. Construction will also include a new rental car facility and changes to the baggage claim area. The Reno-Tahoe International Airport's Board of Trustees has approved the plan. The ticketing hall and lobby expansion is part of a larger $500 million multi-phased project. Construction began in September 2022 on the $32 million ticketing hall and will take a year to complete. Road improvements have also begun. The $200 million rental car facility will begin construction in July 2023, with a completion date set for December 2025. The concourse project, estimated to cost more than $300 million, will begin in 2024 and still needs to secure funding. All construction is expected to be complete in 2028.
