Saving Project...

Site work and paving for a road / highway in Chesapeake, Virginia. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

Phase 1 of the project will provide an eastbound right turn lane and re-striping to create three left turn lanes, two through lanes, and one exclusive right turn lane. Public Works is proceeding with right-of-way coordination. City will seek appropriation of funding from City Council to adjoin funding from VDOT received early. Phase 2 of project will include a second right turn lane, re-striping through and left turn lanes, and modifications to the median. As of March 20, 2024, project is included in the city’s 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Plan. Project design started in Winter 2022 and completion expected in January 2025.
