Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Chesapeake, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
As of March 20, 2024, project awarded and construction began January 2024. Completion expected September 2024. The Work under this Project consists of widening Mount Pleasant Road to provide 12'- wide lanes, including a two - way left turn lane, curb & gutter, sidewalks, and drainage improvements from Cooper's Ditch Bridge to Centerville Turnpike. Question Deadline 08/11/2023 at 5:00 PM ET Questions regarding this project must be submitted in writing via email to Christine Smittle, (csmittle@cityofchesapeake.net) Performance Bond: 100% Payment Bond: 100% Bid Security: 5% The Contractor shall procure all permits and licenses and pay all charges, fees and taxes and give all notices necessary and incidental to the due and lawful prosecution of the Work except those provided by the Owner, and specified in the Special Provisions. The Owner reserves the right to waive any minor informalities, to reject any and all Bids in whole or in part, and may advertise for new Bids if, in its judgment, the best interests of the Owner will be served. The Owner reserves the right to deny permission to work on Sundays and/or holidays without cause.
