For specific information on the project, please contact Civil Engineering Assistant, Isaac Bravo, at (562) 567-9518 The Whittier Greenway Trail East Extension Gap Closure Project (WGTE) will construct a pedestrian/bicycle trail approximately 2.8 mile in length on a City owned 15 foot easement on Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) property adjacent to an active rail line. The project will include AC pavement, wire-mesh fencing, two prefabricated bridges, irrigation, planting, soil remediation, and concrete work. The WGTE project is an Active Transportation Project (ATP) and is funded by Federal, State, and Local funds. This project is subject to "Buy America" requirements and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) requirements. The successful bidder will obtain a Right-ofEntry agreement with Union Pacific Railroad and coordinate proper flagging and safety requirements for the duration of the project. Additionally, the construction of the Greenway Trail Project will have signal work at seven (7) intersections from Mills Avenue to 1 st Avenue in the City of Whittier. Signal work is to be done by others but must be coordinated due to overlapping sequencing of both project scopes of work. Lambert Road TSSP plan sets are included as reference for coordination. female utilization is 6.9 percent. Minority utilization 28.3%
