The City of Whittier is accepting proposals for the installation of (2) DX R-134 evaporator coils to match existing coils for City Hall. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project. Contractor will provide the following services to the City: o Provide and install (2) DX R-134 evaporator coil to match existing coil o Pump Down/Recover refrigerant o Disconnect piping connections o Disassemble ductwork to clear coil removal o Rig old coil out and rig new coil in o Provide and install (2) new stainless-steel pans o Replace liquid line drier cords o Check compressor oil levels after replacement of coils and correct as needed o Replace (4) thermal expansion valves and set superheat o Reassemble ductwork and reconnect piping o Pressurize leak test new coil and piping o Evacuate to 500 microns and pass hold test o Startup and test system o Work will need to start on a Friday after 5PM and be complete by Monday at 6AM over one weekend Bid Bond: For this project, there is no requirement that bids be accompanied by either a certified or cashier's check, or a bidder’s bond.
