Construct six lanes and wildlife bridges on new alignment. The original concrete pavement on this section of I-90 east of Snoqualmie Pass is severely deteriorated and needs to be replaced. Existing low clearance bridges over the highway create hazards for oversized loads. Drivers also experience stop-and-go traffic conditions due to increasing traffic volumes and collisions, including collisions with wildlife. This project will reconstruct I-90 on a new alignment and add a third lane in each direction to add capacity, improve sight distance, provide a smoother ride, replace rapidly deteriorating pavement, and increase vertical clearance for oversized loads. The project will also construct new wildlife crossings to improve habitat connectivity and reduce collisions with wildlife. RW phase will be done under PIN 509017A.
