Renovation of an educational facility in La Plata, Maryland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The Board of Trustees of College of Southern Maryland invites Bids to repair loose, missing or deteriorating mortar joints on the surface of the CS Building roof located at the La Plata Campus. Allow Electronic Quote: No Informal Bid Flag: No D selected Contractor(s) must agree to an acceptance trial period of performance not to exceed ninety (90) consecutive calendar days LIQUIDATED DAMAGES- $1,500 per calendar day. 1. Remove existing EPDM membrane, insulation and associated Flashings. The existing gutters shall be removed Savaged and reinstalled. Seal all joints. 2. Inspect the existing wood (overlaid decking) for proper securement. Repair any damaged and/or deflected roof decking (this will be done on a unit price basis as an extra to the contract). 3. Build or rebuild all curbs in order to achieve the required ten (10) inch base flashing height. 4. Remove any abandoned/obsolete roof penetrations (service lines, conduits, metal cover hatches etc.) and repair deck opening as necessary to provide a suitable substrate for the new roof system. 5 . Mechanically attach a nominal two and one half (2 1/2) inch thick polyisocyanurate board insulation to the wood deck to meet FM I-90 wind uplift requirements; 1 fastener per every two square feet. Provide an alternate for attaching insulation to the approved wood substrate utilizing Olybond adhesive. 6. Install new 1/2 inch Densdeck 4x8 boards, set in Olybond or Insta-stik over 2-1/2 inch ISO insulation. 7. Fully adhere a new 0.060 inch PVC (Sarnafil) sheet membrane or similar in accordance with the manufacturers requirements. 8. Place new 0.060 inch thick, reinforced PVC base flashings (Sarnafil G 410 or similar ) with a non-woven fiberglass mat. Provide expansion detail; where required. 9. Reattach existing gutters and downspouts. 10. Install new PVC clad gravel stop details at perimeter. 11. Remove the screen wall, supports and slate roof covering. 12. Install new TREX 2x edge board under screen wall supports; if required. 13. Install new smooth gravel-stop detail at perimeter of roof. 14. Organize and/or reroute existing HVAC condensate lines to discharge into the nearest roof drainage gutter. 15. Where directed by the Engineer, as an extra to the contract, perform additional work (such as installing additional crickets) to help minimize the amount of water retained on the surface of the new membrane. 16. Perform all other work as required by industry standards or the manufacturer (Sarnafil, Inc. or similar), in order to provide a first-class, watertight roof system. B.
