As of April 28, 2023, project was awarded to Legion Contractors, Inc., awarded amount is $2,286,378.76. The City of Placentia invites sealed bids for a project that includes providing all labor, materials and equipment for a complete tenant improvement and remodeling of existing office spaces. Scope of work includes replacement of existing lighting with new LED type, new door replacement to comply with accessibility, new exit signs, replacement of new suspended ceiling system, and a new accessible restroom. Questions regarding this Notice Inviting Bids shall be in writing and emailed directly to the Associate Civil Engineer: Mrs. Raquel Garcia, ragarcia@placentia.org The project includes providing all labor, materials, equipment, tools and incidentals as required to install park improvements, including ADA accessibility, as required by the Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents. The scope of work includes removal of existing sidewalk and other existing conditions throughout the park to allow construction of park improvements including, but not limited to, park parking lot pavement reconstruction, curb ramps, truncated domes, vehicular and pedestrian paths, drainage, curbs, relocation of existing signs and posts, pavement striping and markings, installation of playground equipment, bocce ball court and shade structure, site furnishings, landscaping, irrigation and electrical systems, and all items not mentioned but included in the plans and specifications. All work must be performed in accordance with the approved plans and specifications for this project. A Payment Bond and a Performance Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the contract amount, will be required of the Contractor. Each bid shall be accompanied by bid security in the form of a cashiers check, certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the total bid amount. All cashiers checks or certified checks must be drawn on a responsible bank doing business in the United States and shall be made payable to THE CITY OF PLACENTIA. A bonding company admitted and licensed to do business in the State of California must issue bid bonds. Bids not accompanied by the required bid security shall be rejected. Personal or company checks are NOT acceptable. All prices shall be firm for 90 days from the date of bid opening; upon award of contract all prices will be in effect for the term of the contract. Project Duration 60 working days Liquidated Damages 500/day Pre-Bid Meeting No Questions regarding this Notice Inviting Bids shall be in writing and emailed directly to the Associate Civil Engineer: Mrs. Raquel Garcia, ragarcia@placentia.org The Contractor and City Engineer shall arrange for a pre-construction conference prior to commencement of any work to review the project in detail with representatives of the various agencies and utility companies involved. The conference shall be scheduled within 10 days after execution of the Contract. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
