Site work and new construction of a transportation facility in Austin, Texas. Completed plans call for the construction of a transportation facility.
The existing Downtown Station was constructed as a "temporary" station in 2010, with a non-permanent plat-form and non-permanent amenities. Capital Metro has completed the designs of a new, permanent Downtown Sta-tion (aka "Project Connect- Downtown Multimodal Station") which will replace the existing station. The design of the Downtown Station will address many surrounding urban context issues in an appropriate manner, and has been coordinated with other adjacent public and private projects.
