Renovation of a water / sewer project in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Design plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
This project is related to the Girard Street Stream Restoration (SW00004) and Victory Farm Pond Retrofit (SW00005) projects. The pond retrofit will impact a portion of public sewer in the area. This project will relocate up to 1,200 linear feet of sewer pipe from inside the future ponding area to outside the bounds of the pond. While there are no direct stormwater credits associated with this work, it may be necessary as part of the pond retrofit and its approximate 125-credit achievement. Recently revised pond designs significantly reduce the impacts to the existing sewer system and, as such, this project's scope may be reduced, or eliminated, in the future. This project is included in the city’s fy 2025-2028 Capital Improvement Program. As of May 29, 2025, further details regarding construction and completion timelines have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
