Site work and new construction of a playground / park / athletic field in Quincy, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

The Building Department of the City of Quincy, Massachusetts (Owner) invites Bidders to submit sealed Bids for the Faxon Field Athletic Facility Building, which includes, but is not limited to, the procurement and construction of a 1,250 square foot brick façade athletic facility building and all materials, equipment, services and construction inherent to the Work The Work shall be substantially complete by December 20, 2019 and completed and ready for final payment by January 17, 2020 General Bidders must be certified by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) for General Building Construction. SubBidders must be DCAMM certified for their respective class of Work. Failure to provide a DCAM Certificate of Eligibility and an Update Statement will result in the bid or sub-bid being rejected. General Bidders must submit the DCAMM Prime/General Certificate of Contractor Eligibility and the DCAMM Prime/General Contractor Update Statement. Sub-Bidders must submit the DCAMM Filed Sub-Bid Certificate of Contractor Eligibility and the DCAMM Sub-Bidder Update Statement. Any Bid submitted without the appropriate Certificate of Eligibility and Update Statement shall be considered invalid. Minimum wage rates as issued by the Director of the Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development, Department of Labor Standards under the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Sections 26 to 27D inclusive, as amended, apply to this Project. It is the responsibility of the Bidders, before Bid opening, to request if necessary, any additional information on Minimum Wage Rates for those trades people who may be employed for the proposed Work under the resulting Contract. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation, nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional Bids. Owner further reserves the right to reject the Bid of any Bidder whom it finds, after reasonable inquiry and evaluation, not to be responsible or eligible or not to meet the specified qualification or quality requirements, based on poor references or otherwise. Owner may also reject the Bid of any Bidder if Owner reasonably believes that it would not be in the best interest of the Project or the public to make an award to that Bidder. Owner also reserves the right to waive all informalities not involving price, time, or changes in the Work and to negotiate contract terms with the Successful Bidder.
