Renovation of a day care center in Quincy, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a day care center.

The Unit Ventilator and AHU Upgrade at the Early Childhood Center . The work includes, but is not limited to: the replacement of flooring, ceilings, HVAC systems, all lighting, renovation of fire protection and fire alarm systems. Contractor Qualification DCAMM Certificate Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. The total project is estimated to cost $3,407,543.40. All inquiries for Filed Subs will be accepted until May 28, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. Inquiries for General Contractors will be accepted until June 4, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. WORK COVERED BY CONTRACT DOCUMENTS A. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: 1. Architectural a. Provide access door for AHU-1 in Cafeteria 310 b. Provide access door for AHU-2 in Discovery Room 309 c. Provide fire-rated enclosure for BT-1 in Room 347Provide enclosure for equipment in Mezzanine Storage 114 e. Remove and replace floor finishes with new "no wax" vinyl tile f. Remove and replace existing ceiling tiles with new 24x48 ceiling tiles. Existing ceiling grid shall remain g. Provide new manually operated horizontal shades for windows h. Replace existing classroom casework with new solid surface cabinets with sinks i. Wall openings between classrooms shall be closed with new drywall construction j. Replace existing doors with new doors as needed. Refer to architectural drawings for quantity and location k. Remove and rebuild the interior walls of the exterior side walls in Rooms 302 and 303 l. Modify Classroom 203 entryway and adjacent stairs m. Remove existing kitchen walls as necessary to provide a new shell kitchen n. Remove slat in Room 309 and replace with new walls to separate classroom from adjacent rooms o. Provide sound barrier fence for ASHP-1.1Civil a. Provide concrete pads for HVAC outdoor unit b. Replace underground direct bury conduit (including conductor) and natural gas line 3. Structural a. Provide elevated platform for AHU-1 in Cafeteria 310 b. Provide steel lintel to support opening c. Provide concrete pad for equipment in mechanical rooms 4. Electrical a. Provide power for HVAC equipment b. Replace existing generator with new generator in place c. Replace existing ATS with new ATS d. Provide power and data lines to projectors e. Replace existing light fixtures with new led light fixtures 5. Mechanical a. Replace unit ventilators b. Replace air handlers c. Replace fan coil units d. Replace exhaust fans e. Replace fin-tube radiators with unit heaters f. Relocate existing unit heater in Mezzanine Storage 114 g. Replace cabinet unit heaters h. Replace boilers and pumps i. Install new unit heater in mezzanine pump room j. Install new air-to-water heat pump and glycol loop k. Install new dual temperature water loop l. Install new heat exchangersm. Replace return grille in Discovery Room with new gym-rated grille 6. Controls a. Provide complete Tridium Niagara N4 Jace BAS system including local PC workstation, server, controllers, actuators, and sensors. See spec section 23 09 23 for more info. 7. Fire Alarm a. Provide new audio strobe light for fire alarm system b. Provide new smoke detector as needed 8. Fire Protection a. Relocate and install new sprinkler heads as needed when classroom is divided to provide full coverage 9. Plumbing a. Remove and reinstall water and sewer for classroom sinks b. Provide new thermostatic mixing valve for sinks c. Replace underground direct bury conduit with new underground natural gas line d. Modify natural gas line in mechanical room for new condensing boilers e. Provide new flue gas exhaust and combustion air duct for new condensing boilers f. Provide new make-up water for HVAC system g. Replace existing domestic water heater with condensing water heater
