The New York Power Authority (hereinafter The Authority or NYPA) is soliciting proposals for the design/ engineering, fabrication, delivery/ assembly, field testing, disassembly, operation, and installation support for a reusable Penstock Platform (Platform) that may be used to provide human access for up-close, hands-on inspection of the entire interior surface of the penstocks of the Robert Moses Niagara Power Plant (RMNPP). Minority Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 3% Women Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 2% The New York Power Authority ("Authority") is seeking to provide human access to up-close, hands-on access to the entire interior surface to all 13 penstocks, at the Robert Moses Niagara Power Plant ("RMNPP"). This will be accomplished through a combination of a Penstock Platform ("Platform") and ancillary method of access to facilitate work on and/ or inspection of the interior surfaces of the penstock. Specifically, the Authority seeks to identify a contract to provide the following: - Provision of Penstock Platform: The engineering, fabrication, delivery/ assembly for a reusable Penstock Platform ("Platform") and ancillary equipment and fixtures that may be used to provide human access for up-close, hands-on inspection of the entire interior surface of the RMNPP penstock. - Operation of Penstock Platform: The on-going assembly/ disassembly, operation, and support of the Platform, to support penstock inspections and work to be performed within the penstocks, for a period of 10-years. - Additional Access to RMNPP Penstock: The provision of a means to facilitate access to all interior surfaces of the RMNPP Penstocks, not accessible via the Platform.
