Brooklyn Park is planning for a mult-modal West Broadway corridor to include the planned Blue Line Light Rail Transit Project. The new facility will connect with the existing Blue Line LRT in downtown Minneapolis with West Broadway Avenue from roughly 75th Avenue to Oak Grove Parkway. The project is planned to include five LRT stations within the City of Brooklyn Park. These stations would be located at 63rd Avenue, Brooklyn Boulevard, 85th Avenue, 93rd Avenue and Oak Grove Parkway. Included in the overall project is the reconstruction of West Broadway Ave, the realingment and extension of Oak Grove Parkway, and improvements to 93rd Ave (CSAH 30) and 85th Ave (CSAH 109) on each side of West Broadway. The City will be responsible for costs associated with aesthetic treatments, utility rehabilitation and extension, local streets north of TH 610 and other City requested elements. The construction start for the $3.2 billion project is planned to start in 2027.
