The project involves all demolition and site construction in preparation for the subsequent Police Department Building(s) construction which will be performed under separate contract. The work to be performed under this Contract generally consists of all earthwork, including excavation and grading, all utility service installations, including sanitary sewer, water and gas construction, all electric and fiberoptic conduit installation, all storm sewer and drainage construction, including inlets, endwalls and piping, all detention basin construction, including gabion walls, all buffer and basin landscaping, approximately 1,750 linear feet of concrete curb, approximately 840 linear feet of variable width concrete sidewalk, approximately 550 linear feet of 5' wide bituminous walking path and approximately 3,900 square yards of bituminous driveway and parking area paving. All construction will occur on Township property and rights-of-way, and will involve restoration of all lawn and unimproved areas, and provisions for all necessary erosion and sedimentation control. In addition, the project includes as potential Alternate/Add-Ons to this Site Contract, the pad grading for the potential garage outbuilding and the approximate 440 linear foot gas service extension from the new Police Department Building to the existing Administration Building.
