As of April 15, 2019, the Notice to Proceed was issued today and construction is expected to begin in late April 2019. *Contract Award Date: March 13, 2019 Contract Award Number: 36C10F19C0003 Contract Award Dollar Amount: $9,216,000.00 Contractor Awarded DUNS: 787848865 Contractor Awardee: FIREWATCH CONTRACTING OF FLORIDA LLC;2620 W. KENNEDY BLVD;TAMPA;FL;33609 The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Construction and Facilities Management is issuing a Pre-Solicitation Notice for the Solicitation Number 36C10F18R0688 East Campus Demolition & Roadwork. Any offers received from other than CVE verified SDVOSB concerns, will receive no consideration for award. All CVE verified SDVOSB firms shall be a General Construction Firm with an approved NAICS Code 238910 Site Preparation Contractors, Small Business Size Standard of $15 million and have sufficient bonding capacity (100% payment and performance bonds required). Additionally, offerors will be required to submit a bid guarantee with their proposal. The magnitude of construction cost for this project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000 with a completion period of 482 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. Based upon the drawings and specifications to be provided by the Government upon release of the solicitation, the CVE verified SDVOSB Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, supervision, coordination, and services necessary for the construction of the project described herein. Work is to be performed at the Jefferson Barracks Division Campus of the St Louis VA Medical Center. The contract scope includes, but is not limited to abatement and removal and disposal of asbestos or other hazardous materials; demolition and removal of existing Buildings 4, 4T, 5, 7, 8, 48 and 49 and site improvements and features above and below ground; abandonment, removal and relocation of existing underground utilities; installation of new underground utilities, infrastructure, roadways, parking and pavement; earth and site work, including excavation, fill and disposal of surplus excavated earth or other material for construction of new campus utilities, parking, site improvements and other associated work such as lighting, pavement markings, signage, asbestos abatement for utilities or infrastructure tie-in connections, shoring and protection of existing construction to remain or as otherwise required for performance of the work; and other incidental related work. The Contractor shall provide a contractor Quality Control system; laboratory and field testing, inspections and systems testing; and unit pricing for unforeseen bulk rock removal and/or trench rock removal. The contract scope shall be executed in accordance with the drawings and specifications and other requirements of the contract documents. The contract drawings and specifications include deductive alternates to be taken as required to make award within available funding. The CVE verified SDVOSB offeror must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database. There will be no public bid opening. The proposals will be evaluated and award made utilizing the Best Value, Trade-Off method per FAR Part 15. Offerors are advised award may be made without discussion.
