Site work for a water / sewer project in Los Angeles, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

As of February 13 the project has not been awarded yet This proposed sewer project will remove and replace and/or rehabilitate approximately of 2,445 linear feet of sewers in the area generally bounded by Wilshire Boulevard to the north, Redondo Boulevard to the west, Crenshaw Boulevard to the east and Jefferson Boulevard to the south (shown on Vicinity Map) that have been in service an average of 90 years. This project will rehabilitate approximately 704 linear feet of 54 inch diameter pipe, 882 linear feet of 42 inch diameter pipe, 747 linear feet of 39 inch diameter pipe, and 134 linear feet of 36 inch diameter pipe. The work includes cleaning the pipe by removing fallen tiles, debris and other obstructions, liner installation, four (5) access pits and new MHs, and remodeling of eight (2) existing MH's. CCTV Laser and Sonar profiling, Sewer cleaning, Sewer Debris removal and disposal, Odor Control, Sewer Bypassing, Monitoring of existing structures, and Community Impact Mitigations will be required as part of the project. At the time of bid, the contractor must possess a valid State ofCalifornia Contractor's License Classification of "A." This project is subject to the provisions of the City's Local Business Preference Program. The Local Business Preference Program, which was recently passed by Ordinance No. 181910, provides an 8% bid preference to qualified local businesses. A copy of the Local Business Preference Program is provided in Part IV of the bid proposal. Any contractor or subcontractor meeting the "local business" criteria as defined in the Ordinance should self-certify by completing and uploading the Local Business Certification Affidavit of Eligibility under the Certifications tab in BAVN, as soon as possible, in order to qualify for a bid preference. Knowingly and willfully providing false information on the Affidavit of Eligibility is a violation of City Ordinance No. 181910 and could subject the contractor to fines, contract termination or debarment from transacting business with the City. Further information regarding the Local Business Preference Program may be issued by addendum.
