Renovation of a municipal facility in Rowley, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Town of Rowley, Massachusetts invites sealed proposals from Contractors for the Rowley Town Hall Annex Ramp Replacement, Rowley, Massachusetts. The work includes, but is not limited to, accessibility improvements including: exterior door and door hardware replacement, and replacement of an exterior wood framed ramp. Each general bid shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a bid bond, or cash, or a certified check, or a treasurer's or cashier's check issued by a responsible bank or trust company, payable to the Town of Rowley in the amount of five percent (5%) of value of the bid. Bid deposits will be dealt with as provided in Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Section 44B. Bids shall be made on the basis of the Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the Commissioner of Labor and Industries, Pursuant to the Provisions of Chapter 149, Sections 26 to 27D inclusive of Massachusetts General Laws, a copy of which is attached to and is made a part of the Contract. Bidders' selection procedures and contract award shall be in conformity with applicable statutes of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.Labor and Materials payment bonds in the amount of 50% of the contract price will be required from the successful bidder. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to reject any or all general bids, if it be in the public interest to do so.
