n general the work consists of:Demolishing five (5) air handling units, one (1) return fan, ten (10) lab40exhaust fans and associated pneumatic controls; Installing two (2) variable air volume air handling41units, four (4) lab exhaust fans with energy recovery system and new direct digital controls; Install42new supply air, return air and lab exhaust ductwork systems on the roof and in the penthouse to43support the new HVAC equipment; Installing new exhaust terminal units for labs and fume hoods44being connected to the new lab exhaust fan system on floors 11-12; Replacing existing penthouse unit45heaters and controls; Cleaning existing supply and return ductwork on floors 7-12; Extending existing46chilled water, hot water, low pressure steam and low pressure condensate services to feed new the47HVAC equipment; Test and balance of air distribution systems on floors 7-12; Installing 28 new safety48showers with tempering valves; Replacing five fume hoods with low flow hoods on floor 11; Extending49electrical power services to serve new equipment; Installing LED lighting in the penthouse mechanical50room. The successful General Prime Contractor Bidder must agree to commence the work on or before a date to be specified in a written Notice to Proceed issued by the state and to fully complete all the work within 240 consecutive calendar days thereafter.
