Site work and paving for a civil project in Middleboro, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; road / highway; and water / sewer project.
The work will take place in various locations over the length of the Middleborough Secondary, the New Bedford Main Line, and the Fall River Secondary. Consists of the removal and replacement of 46 existing culverts and the removal without replacement of one existing culvert that cross railroad rights of way; the cleaning of 16 existing culverts that cross railroad rights of way; improvements to the existing storm drainage system at the Tarkiln Hill Road railroad grade crossing and improvements to the roadways in the railroad grade crossing area; the construction of six wetlands impact mitigation areas adjacent to railroad rights of way. Prospective Bidders to provide their own hi-rail truck,or provide the number of attendees to: kdobosz@mbta.com and copy abrunn@hntb.com. Bidders are limited to two people per Contractor. Required docs: in Document A00801 Subsection 2.04 G, Proposal Requirements & H, Required Project Experience and Classes of Work and submitted to kdobosz@mbta.com by email. An award will not be made to a Contractor who is not prequalified under MBTA Class 1, 2, and 3 prior to the opening of proposals, and to a Contractor who did not attend pre-bid meeting. Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000.
