Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Norman, Oklahoma. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
Reconstruct and widen from a 2-lane to 3-lane roadway with on street bike lanes, new storm sewer, curb & gutter, and sidewalks. This year's budget request is for a gap sidewalk project to complete approximately 2 blocks of sidewalk on the south side of Rock Creek Road from Brookhaven Boulvard east past The Falls Apartments to the existing sidewalk. This project is to address pedestrian and bicycle access and was requested by an adult with disabilities living in the area that would like wheelchair access to the various shopping opportunities in the area. Since the roadway project is unfunded, this gap sidewalk project would address a portion of the sidewalk needs along the corridor. Most of these improvements could be used in place when the roadway is reconstructed. The project is included in the City's 2026-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of October 29 , 2025 , further details have not yet been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
