Work of the Project generally includes demolition of existing Turbo Blowers and installation of new Turbo Blowers along with suction pipe improvements along with programming modifications to the existing aeration control system, and replacement of existing multistage centrifugal blowers with new multistage centrifugal blowers. More specifically, the Work includes, but is not limited to, construction of the following 1. Blower Building a. Demolition of existing Turbo blowers along with suction pipe segment and construction/installation of new Turbo Blowers along with new suction piping and filters. b. Programming modifications to the existing Master Control Panel (MCP) aeration control system PLC to incorporate new control descriptions and validation of PLC control loops to meet system performance and functional requirements after programming modifications and integrations are done. c. Replacement of existing Multi-Stage Centrifugal Blowers with new Multi-Stage Centrifugal Blowers, control panels, variable frequency drives (VFDs) and related appurtenances as part of the base bid alternate No.1 and No. 2 additives. 2. Site electrical improvements to support items above including but not limited to control systems, motor control centers (MCC), conduits, wiring and required items. Question Deadline 05/23/2024 Questions regarding documents, discrepancies, omissions, or intent of the specifications or drawings shall be submitted in writing to the Owner through the Engineer at least seven days prior to opening of bids to provide time for issuing and forwarding an addendum This project includes the replacement of the two existing turbo blowers with two new Owner provided turbo blower and bid alternates including the replacement of the existing multistage centrifugal blowers with new multistage centrifugal blowers, along with all the electrical components required for the installation of the new blowers A cashier's check, a certified check, or a surety bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid shall accompany the sealed proposal of each bidder.
