Site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
Plan, design and construct and overpass at NM31 and US 285 to move traffic more safely through the corridor, eliminate an at grade railroad crossing and various stop signs and traffic flow issues. Eddy County Has applied for a BUILD grant, with funding to date being for the application process. The implementation will be through state procurement approved bid processes. Intersection of NM31 and US285. As of July 23, 2024, this project is currently in the New Mexico Department of Finance and Administration FY 2023-2027 Infrastructure Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). A design team and construction timeline has not yet been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
