Presidio of Monterey (POM) B838-Boiler, Water Piping Replacement Project. In general, the work consists of, but is not limited to rebuilding the water heater system, re-plumbing the cold water feed, removing a steam boiler and steam system appurtenances, relining a hot water storage tank, re-plumbing a heat exchanger, re-roofing the flat roof, installing an evacuated tube solar hot water heating system, removing abandoned piping and unused equipment, and ensure all piping is properly supported, insulated and labeled. Rebuilding the water heater system in a mechanical room, re-plumbing the cold water feed in a mechanical room, removing a steam boiler and steam system appurtenances, relining a hot water storage tank, re-plumbing a heat exchanger to provide solar heat for the buildings space heating system, re-roofing the flat roof, installing an evacuated tube solar hot water heating system, removing abandoned piping and unused equipment, and ensuring all remaining piping is properly supported, insulated and labeled for a clean and efficiently operated mechanical room. Failure to attend and arrive on time may result in your bid being deemed non-responsive resulting in rejection of your bid. Contractors must have valid federally recognized ID and ride in a vehicle driven by a City employee. Otherwise, if Contractors wish to drive to the jobsite inside the Presidio of Monterey Military Installation, they must have valid vehicle registration and vehicle insurance with them.
