Renovation of a museum in Monterey, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a museum.
Presidio of Monterey (POM) B838-Boiler, Water Piping Replacement Project. In general, the work consists of, but is not limited to rebuilding the water heater system, re-plumbing the cold water feed, removing a steam boiler and steam system appurtenances, relining a hot water storage tank, re-plumbing a heat exchanger, re-roofing the flat roof, installing an evacuated tube solar hot water heating system, removing abandoned piping and unused equipment, and ensure all piping is properly supported, insulated and labeled. Rebuilding the water heater system in a mechanical room, re-plumbing the cold water feed in a mechanical room, removing a steam boiler and steam system appurtenances, relining a hot water storage tank, re-plumbing a heat exchanger to provide solar heat for the buildings space heating system, re-roofing the flat roof, installing an evacuated tube solar hot water heating system, removing abandoned piping and unused equipment, and ensuring all remaining piping is properly supported, insulated and labeled for a clean and efficiently operated mechanical room. Engineer's Estimated Cost: $200,000 to $700,000 Liquidated Damages: $1,200.00 Per Work Day Pre-Qualification for Bidders: Not Required License Type Required: Class B A report will be forwarded to the City Council in the Council Chambers of the City Hall to wit, Few Memorial Hall of Records, and the Council may award the bid, reserving the right, however to reject any and all such bids. Failure to attend and arrive on time may result in your bid being deemed non-responsive resulting in rejection of your bid. Contractors must have valid federally recognized ID and ride in a vehicle driven by a City employee. Otherwise, if Contractors wish to drive to the jobsite inside the Presidio of Monterey Military Installation, they must have valid vehicle registration and vehicle insurance with them.
