Plan, design and construct new collection and wastewater treatment system to serve existing governmental buildings at the Torreon Navajo Chapter. The new system will replace separate on-site septic tank / drainfield systems and will serve the Senior Center, Chapter House, Head Start Building, Clinic, and Administrative Building. The existing buildings are currently served by aging septic tank / drainfield systems, some of which have failed and are not providing adequate capacity for current and planned improvements to buildings. Among the new improvements which will require increased wastewater capacity is a new Administrative Complex, which is in the planning stages. The Chapter will procure an Engineer to help plan and design the system. Phase I consists of a conceptual design, land acquisition, cultural resource inventory, archeological and environmental assessment. The full design of the system will be completed during Phase II. Phase III will consist of the construction of the project and will take 12 months. The Navajo Tribal Utility Authority will own and operate the system. Project is included in the New Mexico Department of Finance and Administration's FY 2023-2027 CIP. As of January 28, 2022, information regarding a design team or a general contractor is not available.
