Construction of the Gas Collection and Control System Expansion includes limited demolition and earthwork, drilling of vertical gas extraction wells, installing horizontal gas collection wells, laying HDPE pipe and constructing pipe connections, within and outside the limits of an active Class I landfill. Construction of the Gas Migration Control system includes limited demolition work and earthwork, installation of wellheads, laying HDPE pipe and constructing pipe connections, installing a skid-mounted blower system, and low voltage electrical work, within and outside the limits of an old closed Class I landfill.
