Renovation of an educational facility in Middlesex, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 887-square-foot educational facility.

**The start date is June 20, 2019, and the completion date is in September 2019.** Sealed bids will be received by the Middlesex Board of Education (Board), Middlesex County, New Jersey for the Home Economics Classroom Renovations at Middlesex High School project ("Project"). A pre-bid conference will not be held. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-26, in order to be eligible to submit a bid for the Project, the Bidder shall be classified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction ("DPMC") as of the date and time of the bid opening in one of the following disciplines: C008 - General Construction; or C009 General Construction/Alterations and Additions Bidders classified by the DPMC as either C008 or C009 shall be required to subcontract with subcontractors that are classified as C032- HVACR and C047 Electrical (unless the bidders are so classified), such subcontractors shall be listed in the bid, and all documentation required by the bid instructions and by law shall be provided for such subcontractor. Refer to the Instructions to Bidders for information as to other DPMC classifications required for bidders and/or subcontractors. Bids shall be submitted on the provide proposal forms and be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check of bid bond draw to the order of the "Middlesex Board of Education" for not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid, but in no case in excess of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00). Bid securities shall comply with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-24. Bids shall include a Consent of Surety obligating the issuing surety company to provide the bidder and its subcontractors, if successful, with a New Jersey Statutory Performance and Payment Bond in the full amount of the contract. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the opening date. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any informality in the bidding, as permitted by law. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., and N.J.A.C. 17:27. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.50 et seq., Bidders and their subcontractors are required to be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor and to possess a current Certificate from said Department indicating compliance at the time of bidding.
