Project NO. - 14038 Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Sequim, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project. The Engineers Estimate range is $5,700,000 to $6,500,000 The project provides for the rehabilitation of .5 miles of West Fir Street from North 5th Avenue to North Sequim Avenue. The improvements include installation of a stormwater infiltration system, bioretention system, 10-inch diameter water main, 12-inch diameter sewer pipe, 18-inch diameter irrigation pipe, a traffic signal, RRFPs, illumination, retaining walls, concrete sidewalk, curb and gutter, HMA pavement section, permanent signing, pavement markings, and landscaping. Undergrounding of overhead utilities is also included in the project. This project will be funded in part by Federal Highway Administration, Washington State Department of Transportation, and Washington State Department of Ecology. Neither the State of Washington nor any of its departments or employees are, or shall be, a party to any Contract or any subcontract resulting from this solicitation for bids. The Successful bidder will be required to conform to the wage requirements prescribed by the federal Davis-Bacon and Relate Acts which requires that all laborers and mechanics employed by contractors and subcontractors performing on contracts funded in whole or in part by SRF appropriations in excess of $2,000 pay their laborers and mechanics not less than the prevailing wage rates and fringe benefits, and determined by the Secretary of Labor, for corresponding classes of laborers and mechanics employed on similar projects in the area. All work performed on this project will be subject to the higher of the prevailing state or federal wage rates. The City of Sequim in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 USC 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally Assisted Programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR, Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award.
