Work of the Project includes interior renovation of approximately 11,000 square foot of the SMB&T Building at 88 N. Main Street, Three Rivers, MI. The Project includes demolition, reconfiguration of rooms, interior finish replacement, electrical modifications, new light fixtures, mechanical system modifications, new restrooms, new sprinkler system, and an elevator replacement as an alternate. All work for the project will be under a single prime contract. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any bid (or combination of bids) and to waive any irregularities in bidding. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date set for bid opening. The sealed Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 10:00 a.m. in the City Commission Chambers. Work shall be in full accordance with the Bidding and Contract Documents which are on file with the Owner and may be examined by prospective bidders at the following locations: OFFICE OF THE ARCHITECT Arkos Design, Inc. 117 Lincolnway West Mishawaka, Indiana 46544 Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid must accompany each bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bid security shall be a certified check or bid bond. All bid bonds shall be made payable to the City of Three Rivers. An out-of-state contractor will be obligated to show proof that they are registered with the Michigan Secretary of State to conduct business in the State of Michigan. Bid proposals shall be properly and completely executed on the Bid Form provided. Each bid proposal shall be accompanied by an executed non-discrimination commitment (as included in the Supplementary Bid Form). Each bidder is required to submit a proposed completion time (in calendar days) for this project as part of their bid. The Contractor shall begin work immediately after the awarding of the Contract.
