This Project Consists Of Replacement Of Furnaces, Boilers, And Or Hvac Systems In All Locations. The Housing Authority of the County of Berks, by virtue of its contract with the United States of America, acting through the Department of Housing and Urban Development, pursuant to the United States Housing Act of 1937, as amended, is hereby requesting bids for the Housing Authority of the County of Berks, 1803 Butter Lane, Reading, PA 19606. For work at the following locations: Brooke Estates, 200-280 Haycreek Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508 Richard B. Delp Townhouses, 1803 Butter Lane, Reading, PA 19606 Jefferson Heights, 1600-1614 Buchanon Drive, Laureldale, PA 19605 1600-1619 Lincoln Court, Laureldale, PA 19605, Cacoosing Meadows, 701-735 Spring Street, Sinking Spring, PA 19608 Cacoosing Meadows, 310-320 Windmill Road, Sinking Spring, PA 19608 Attention is called to all respondents that all applicable Equal Employment Opportunity requirements for federally assisted contracts must be complied with. This includes strict compliance with Executive Order 11246, as amended (establishing a goal of 6.9% for female employment and 1.3% minority percentage by craft); Nondiscrimination; Executive Order 11625, Minority Business Enterprises; Executive Order 12138, Women Business Enterprise; Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968; Civil Rights Act of 1964; and Minority Business Participation. The Housing Authority of the County of Berks reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals or to waive any informalities in bidding, and to withhold award for a period of sixty (60) days. Bids must include a Bid Bond, with a corporate surety authorized to do business in Pennsylvania in accordance with the project specifications in the amount of ten percent of the total bid amount, all as posted through PennBid. A Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract shall be furnished by the successful bidder as detailed in the Instructions to Bidders. Davis Bacon rates shall apply.
