Electronic Valve Actuator Replacements The Work to be performed for the project includes removal and replacement of 56 existing electronic valve actuators for valves ranging in size from 6" to 36" at the Maiden Creek water treatment plant. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum basis as indicated in the Bid Form. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Attention is called to the fact that prevailing minimum wage rates as determined by the Secretary of the Department of Labor and Industry must be paid by the Contractors on this project and that employees and applicants for employment shall not be discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or handicap. Each Bidder is required to meet the requirements of the Public Works Employment Verification Act, Act 127 of 2012. Any and all steel products used or supplied in the performance of the contract, or any subcontracts shall be from steel made in the United States. The Reading Area Water Authority, Owner hereby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all bidders, to refuse and reject any or all bids submitted, and reserves the right to waive any informality in bids received.
