Renovation of a stadium in East Chicago, Indiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 1,638-square-foot stadium.

The project consists of New Locker Rooms and Press Box for Block Stadium at 1691 E. 144th Street, East Chicago, IN 46312. Bidding contractors are responsible for ALL of the bidding Documents as described in Instruction to Bidders. Addendums and other pertinent information regarding the bids will only be sent to the bidders registered with Reprographic Arts and having paid the $50.00 Fee. Arrangements may be made with the City Planning Department to examine copies of the Bidding Documents at the City of East Chicago Planning Department, 4525 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN during normal business hours. Bids must be in complete accordance with the "INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS SECTION 00100". The Owner and Architect will be available. Oral statements may not be relied upon and will not be binding or legally effective. Bids will not be considered unless they are accompanied by the required Bid Security and Bid Form No. 96, Financial Questionnaire and provide Financial Statement as well as Indiana's Illegal Immigration Law plus all other required documents described in the instructions to bidders. A certified or cashier's check payable to the City of East Chicago or a bid bond in an amount equal to ten (10) percent of the bid amount must accompany each bid. All checks (or bonds) of unsuccessful bidders shall be returned to them for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days by the board upon selection of successful bidder. Checks of successful bidder may held for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days. The successful Bidder will be required to provide separate Performance and Labor Material Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred (100%) percent of the Contract amount. Pursuant to I.C. 5-16-7.2-5, there is no wage scale provision for this project. All Contractors must be licensed in the City of East Chicago.Each successful bidder and all levels of subcontractors, regardless of tier, as a condition of being awarded a contract or subcontract, will agree to abide by the provisions of the City of East Chicago Bid and Award Criteria, the EEO Policy, and the local residency hiring. Upon signing the contract between the Contractor and the City of East Chicago, the work to be performed will start upon the Notice to Proceed. The owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding, should the Board deem it to be in the public interest to do so.
