The project consists of, but is not limited to installation of phenolic (pre-insulated) duct board liner in the main vertical supply airriser during Spring Break 2019 including take-offs to the fire dampers on each floor. The project will also include adding an additional 1" of external insulation over the existing exterior insulation with a new vapor barrier and jacketing to the Main Supply Horizontal Duct work on the roof from the NWAHU to main vertical supply air duct work; removing the unused existing dampers and damper actuator immediately downstream of each of the two supply airfans in the northwest Air Handling Unit on the roof and replace with a blank off panel over the opening; cleaning of the branch horizontal duct work on each floor served by the north west Air Handling Unit. Final Completion 14 calendar days from Substantial Completion Construction Budget $205,110 Bids will be received for a single General Construction Contract. Iowa Construction Sales Tax Exemption Certificates will be provided on this project. Bid shall be accompanied by bid security, as set forth in the Instructions to Bidders. Bid security shall be agreed upon as the measure of liquidated damages which the Owner will sustain by failure, neglect, or refusal of bidder to deliver a signed contract stipulating performance of the Work in unqualified compliance with the Contract Documents. Successful bidderwill be required to furnish a 100% Contract Performance and Payment Bond within ten (10) days after receipt of Notice of Award. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) calendar days after the date of opening. This project has a participation goal of 10% for certified Targeted Small Businesses as specified in the Project Requirements.
