Scope: Construction of a new full-service multi-modal train station facilities next to the existing Amtrak platform at 27 South La Patera Lane. The Goleta Train Depot building will be approximately 9,000 square feet. It will include a lobby, e-ticketing area, waiting room, café, community meeting room, restrooms, bike storage lockers, and outdoor plaza spaces. The project site is approximately 2.5 acres, is relatively flat, and rectangular. The site is currently developed with a 39,800 square-foot warehouse structure, with an associated parking lot, outdoor storage area, and vehicle yard proposed to be removed as part of this project. In addition, South La Patera Lane is being re-configured to accommodate improvements such as continuous bike lanes, sidewalks, streetlights, and landscaped parkways.
