Plans call to construct the rail link between north Lathrop and Tracy including maintenance yard. A detailed scope of work has not been disclosed. As of October 16, 2025, the owner released a RFP for CMGC Preconstruction Services on September 30, 2025 and are anticipated entering into a contract with a general contractor in February 2026. The project requires federal and state funding. Construction is targeted to begin in 2028 with completion in 2032.
