Site work for a mixed-use development in Appleton, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
Work consists of site demolition, site security and safety, tennis and basketball court base installation and general grading, site athletic equipment installation (net posts, nets, center strap anchors), finish grading, hot mix asphalt paving, tennis court surfacing, fencing, landscape restoration, and erosion control. The information for Bidders, Form of Bid, Form of Contract, Plans, Specifications, and Forms of Bid Bond, Performance and Payment Bond, and other contract documents may be examined at the Office of the Parks Recreation and Facilities Management Department, 1819 Witzke Boulevard, Appleton, Wisconsin 54911, or Rettler Corporation, 3317 Business Park Drive, Stevens Point, Wisconsin 54482. No bid will be opened unless the Bidders Proof of Responsibility for 2019 is filed in the office of the City Clerk not later than Friday, February 1, 2019. Forms are included in specifications, and are also available at the office of the City Clerk. The document is available on the City website as noted below and is included within the bid documents. Reference is made to 66.0901 Wisconsin Statutes. Wage Rates: None required for this project. Bidder will be required to have Performance Bond/Labor and Material Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the Contract. Cost of Bond shall be included in Bid. No bid shall be received unless accompanied by a bid bond equal to five percent of the bid, payable to the City as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 10 days from the date the lowest responsible bidders bid is accepted. If the bidder fails to file such contract and bond within the time set by the City, the check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to accept any bid deemed for the best interests of the City and to waive any informalities in the bidding.
